Vetting for Schools and Childcare Companies

Schools and Child Care Institutions Need Vetting

The education sector is one of the few environments where parents entrust their children to individuals outside their families. This raises a critical question: How are these caregivers vetted? Research indicates that many children in Nigeria have been exposed to harm while under the supervision of those responsible for their care. Recognising this concern, we are committed to going the extra mile by collaborating with educators to strengthen child safety measures and ensure a secure learning environment for all children.

To bridge this gap, we collaborated with experts in Nigeria and the UK to create the Tier 1 National Vetting Standard (NVS2025) under the Child Safety Practice 2025 (CSP2025) framework. This initiative ensures the suitability and accountability of individuals working with vulnerable children, offering FREE safeguarding support to schools, childcare agencies, and religious organisations. We also provide FREE administrative resources, including legally sound contracts, strong policies, and CSP2025 audits to enhance child safety. To sustain this initiative, a small, one-time vetting fee—less than a typical monthly gym membership—is required for staff annually.
